This is a picture of my finder scope platform. Many years ago, at a Texas Star Party, I took the pictures below of someone who had made a similar platform for their scope. What I liked about this approach is that the scopes are NOT attached to the upper cage, thus not having to balance that weight at the end of the telescope. I also like the fact that I can use the finder scopes from the ground and not have to crank my neck this way and that to align the scope when it is pointing verticle.
