Michael Hotka's
Req. #57 - Apollo 17 Area Observation

Observe on Lunar Day (after New Moon): 5 or 18

Lunar Day Seen: 18

Date/Time: 11/22/2021 21:39 Local Time

Location: 1425 Snowberry Lane, Broomfield, CO

Seeing: VG

Transparency: 5

Instrument Used: 8" f/6 Newtonian Telescope

Magnification: 203x

Estimated Lunar Epoch: Area Nectarian - Many of the basis were formed during this Epoch, these included.

Actual Lunar Epoch: Nectarian

Reasoning/Description: This was a neat view of area. Low Sun angle showed all the hills and Taurus Littrow valley nicely. All very obvious with this Su angle. Tried to capture the hills in sketch. This was an interesting landing site because it was in the highlands of material ejected from the two basins on each side of it. Might have been a lot of rocks from deep inside the moon found here.
