Michael Hotka's
2021 Christmas Light Display

Here are pictures of our 2021 Christmas Light Display on and about the front of our home.

Halie loves our display. She is sitting with Santa and wants to help drive the raindeer.

She loves these bears also.

The rabbits or squirrels ate these wires. I spliced them back together and used black electrical tape to cover the wires and hide the smell of the wires that seemed to attract the varmints. So far, they have left them alone.

I also wrapped these light strands with white electrical tape because the rabbits ate one string of these last year. I can indict the rabbits because of the pile of rabbit poop where the wires were eaten.

Supplies ready to put on the tree. The long green pole (two handles taped together) has a special attachment on the end for hanging Christmas lights. It extended my reach quite a bit when I couldn't get the bucket behind the tree.

The 50 foot lift we rented from the Broomfield Rental store. I used a similar one last year and found relearning how to navigate the bucket in and around the tree came back to me very quickly.

The star is where the top of the tree was last year. All the growth above this star occurred this past year. This is one happy blue spruce.

Putting more strings on the tree. The lift made the job super simple.

The new tree topper that Barbara bought.

One of the two strands that the squirrels ate. Can't indict the rabbits because of the height of the wires in the tree where the damage was found. What amazes me is they ate about 6 inches of wire, including the copper wire inside the insulation.

I replaced 2 colored strings of lights that the squirrels ate. The other 7 strings of wires added to the lights that were already on the tree from last year.

Our display at night...

The blue spruce looks incredible with the additional lights and new tree topper.

The view from up the street looking west. The light above the tree at the left edge of the picture is Venus.

Closeup of Santa and the reindeer. Notice Rudolph's red nose.

Our display during daylight...

A bird's eye view of our yard...I think these are cool pictures, so I added them to this blog.

And the neighborhood.

Looking to the east on Snowberry Lane.

Looking to the south on Snowberry Lane.

I had a lot of fun using this machine and decorating our yard for the holidays.
