This is a picture of my finished scope, on the afternoon of April 15, 2011. I have it poking out the garage door, for I wanted to use it this night to view, but the sky was threatening to be totally overcast. From this picture, my 12.5 inch, f/8 telescope looks very long as compared to other shorter focal length dobsonian telescopes.
My telescope is configured with a Sky Commander Digital Setting Circles, a ServoCat Jr controller and is spring balanced.
On this evening, I looked at the Moon first, Arcturus second and Saturn third. I aligned my finder scopes with Arcturus and was amazed that everything worked perfectly.
